Short conversation on why lj is better than fb

Was on a walk around a nearby reservoir w frauhedgehog and I mentioned the relative greatness of lj vis a vis fb. She pointed out what seems obvious in retrospect, but I hadn't figured out. That is that fb makes it super easy to post regurgitated content, whereas on lj you have to type, leading to people actually posting their own thoughts. (I know you could copy and paste text, but that seems to be enough of a barrier that lj is primarily original content)
