Settling In

It's been a week since I've arrived in Pasadena, CA and it's been about four days since the wedding. I'm slowly adjusting to the timezone and to a routine here. It's not really that big of an adjustment considering I have lived away from home before. I guess the adjustment is more of being with Ed almost 24/7, not that it's a bad thing. In fact, it's a very good thing!

Ed and I are slowly making progress in adjusting to married life too. One example is that I got a copy of the house keys today. That made me really happy. It makes me feel like I really belong here.

I also started cooking last Friday. I cooked pork chops and rice. I love cooking for Ed especially since he really shows his appreciation and he's the one who cleans up afterwards. I think that it's an exceptionally good agreement that whoever cooks doesn't clean and vice versa.

One thing that I do need to work on is building a good relationship with his parents. I'm pretty quiet when I'm around them and that's because I never know what to say most of the time. I need to tell them more about myself and find more points of interest.

My vacation leave is over so it will be another adjustment next week for work. I hope I get a good project that won't be too stressful.
