Centipede Dream
I just had a dream that there was a very VERY large centipede living in my home. But it was really intelligent, so it knew how to hide itself in order to keep its presence concealed. So everything was fine.
But then it went and had a LOT of babies, and it realized that there was no way to gather enough resources to feed them all while keeping itself hidden. So to get around this, it fit itself and all of its babies into a ten foot length of flexible plastic tube and wore a children's toy to cover its head, and just tooted around like that in plain daylight.
And my parents and my brother and I apparently didn't think anything of it? We were like "Aww, it's this little guy again, what're you up to, fella?"
(Which is probably the most midwestern thing one can say to a length of felxible tube with a children's toy for a head that's roving innocuously about one's home)
Until one day, the tube got caught, and while trying to pull free, it and all of its babies spilled out over the carpet for all to see, and suddenly my family was very concerned and unhappy.
