Don't it always seem to go...

I missed the People's Choice Awards. Damn. Of course, all the pictures are flooding out here on LJ, so it's just like I had watched it. Because of course, I only watch these shows for my boys. I've watched more damn awards shows in the past year than I have ever in my life. For I am hopelessly devoted. And kind of pathetic for these boys. But happily so. Cue the stupid dreamy sigh.

So Billie got his hair cut, I see. It's all cute and spiky and short again. And all I've been seeing in the communities is "omgilovedthelonghairwtf!!11" Uh. Weren't they just saying a couple months ago how much they wanted him to cut it? Pff. I reiterate: Billie Joe is not his hair.

Anyhow. I'm watching an episode of "Scariest Places on Earth" that I taped last Halloween, and it's about this guy investigating a disappearance in the underground tunnels of Paris. It's the only one that's ever freaked me out. If you lose your light source in those tunnels, you're gone. You'll never get out. The thought of that...ugh, it just gives me the cold chills. That's fucking scary. You can keep your demons, your monsters, your ghosts, your stalkers, your serial killers, your vampires, whathaveyou. Being trapped in tunnels miles below street level to die...I can't even imagine.

I do love that show, though. I wish they'd run things like "Scariest Places on Earth" and "Most Haunted" and such all year, instead of just around Halloween time. That's why I tape them. Sometimes you just feel like watching some spooky stuff.

Oh, dammit. They remade When A Stranger Calls? What the hell for? I hear a remake of Suspiria is in the works somewhere, which is just laughable. There have been rumors of an Evil Dead remake for some time now, and all I can say to that is please, Sam, say it ain't so! Ugh. I sincerely hope the remake craze doesn't ever touch Halloween or A Nightmare on Elm Street. Because fucking no. Horror remakes are rarely a good idea. For every The Fly, there are five Psychos. I still can't believe Van Sant had the hubris to remake Psycho. Fucking Psycho! No, it's not "just a movie", don't give me that. Feh.

I'd go on more about it, but I have to get ready for work. Consider yourselves spared my horrorcentric ranting...for now.
