As promised: the hate the IU staff are posting on the newspaper message board. It's up to 120 comments now. Still not a single one from an Ivy Tech employee.
It all just computed in my brain. Here it is in lay terms: No raise translates to forced pay cut for all IU staff, yet IU magically found money to hire 100 new faculty. So basically we are trading our deserved raises for more overly-pampered faculty (who, by the way, will be paid multiple times what we are paid) who will add increased demands to our jobs that we’re already taking a pay cut to perform!
Yeah DL. Keep the Faculty out of this....They don't totaly run I.U. They do however force thier will on everyone else in town and to the locals who they think should bow down and kiss. The last time I checked...most faculty I know are hard to get in touch with...because they are never there.
College students are nothing more than young bums sponging an education while the taxpayers carry their loans for decades. Then they whine about how tough it is while twittering away on facebook with their Fatboy Slim and iPhones on all day long.
