Ok, recap:
On Sunday, I think, I will be headed towards Vancouver, BC, if all goes as planned. A fun road trip, I hope.
I splurged last night and bought some new CDs -- Some Michelle Shocked, Gillian Welch, the Be Good Tanyas, Dvorak (yeah I'm a classical music dork) etc... Also I have become OBSESSED with bluegrass music. It's so great, especially while driving down Kansas highways. Ok, so I need some input: has anyone ever had a radio show at Smith before? I think I want one in the fall, a bluegrass one. How much fun would that be?? Let's see, what else? Oh, Lee and I drove out to the country the other day to help this guy build a "straw bale" house. I was so impressed! It's going to look like a real house, only made of straw. In August there'll be a "stucco party." Last week I went to the opening of a graffiti art show in refurbished warehouse with the artwork directly on the walls. Oh, and two weeks ago I DID NOT get arrested during a protest (where 18 other people got arrested in fucked up ways and there was police brutality).
Hmm, I've become a Boggle-o-holic. I never knew that game was so great. It's such a good activity to do with my mom. I wish they still made 5x5 size boards though.
I'll have an internship this fall working for my director from Italy, Thalia Pandiri. She comes off as a hard-ass but once you get to know her she's cool. I'm going to help her put together her literary journal Metamorphoses. Hey, beats washing dishes.
