Considering writing a book...

I am so thankful for Dr. Patton. I really want to live like this man, because learning from him has helped frame the past 5 years of my life. Actually, it's Jesus i want to live like, but Patton helps me to understand "how" to go about doing that. Because of the many courses i've taken with Patton and spending time with him in general, it seems i' ( Read more... )

Actually, thanks man. At this point any response, such as this and the anonymous tipster, actually help shape the directions i'll take my writing. For instance, it's likely there should be a character who simply denies the conspiracy / mass suggestion, and that's part of what would drive the book. Struggle is what makes it a page-turner. In my way of thinking, if i can't convince a non-biased person of a theory then how can i fight those higher up on the ladder, either heavily involved in the matter or those that strongly disagree with me? It's a riddle long unsolved from discussions at the dining commons of college. Already i could easily attribute my experience with the main character, or i could learn from my arguing opponent their characteristics and mold that into my rationale.

Oh, and i had a dream last night. It was obviously influenced by reading the Bourne Identity late at night, yet there was no knowledge of Bourne in my dream. The setting was far different, character relationships untraceable to Bourne. I could easily follow the direction of the dream. One thing is for certain, i can't help but write as i would see it in film. I've been writing creatively long before i had ever seen the Bourne movies. The amazing thing is, it turns out Ludlum and i write (books) the same way. Even the Bourne Identity, written in the '70s, is read like one would see a movie. Now it seems i don't have much a choice; my writing will reflect that of Ludlum's.
