If you find memory hungry applications are running slow, behaving badly and suddenly dieing (and I'm looking at Firefox and Bibble in particular) then check your virtual memory settings.

Having none is fine, until you run out of real memory!

Why didn't anyone tell me?!? If you get a cryptic error message box in Windows XP, you can press "Ctrl-C" to capture all the text and paste it somewhere else.
