And now for something completely incomplete

Verizon tech support has not been nearly as useless and frustrating as I thought it might be. Their staff has been generally polite, intelligible, and helpful. Their tech support system has not yet solved the core problem (I don't have functional internet access yet), but it has steadily proceeded towards that objective. I believe that I will be using my own by the end of this week.

Sunday night was my first night spent here. Went smoothly enough, although I was a bit cold in the evening and night. Am now in the market for superior blankets; a legit pillow would also not hurt.

The photos of the apartment will come on Tuesday after the sun is up and the natural light is streaming. Meant to do so today, but I was having a fine howdy-do with a small percentage of Verizon's staff.

Off the top of my head, I can think of two areas in which Stephanie has specifically said that I am unlike any other person she has known in her 40 years of life. One is that she thinks I would rather enjoy and do well with SAP systems. But the other is what I am thinking of now: Being straight and sober and thouroughly enjoying ABBA dance remixes. Am now doing so. For the doubters: I'll have you know the song immedaitely after it on the randomizer is a heavy rock piece with adrenaline and testosterone leaking out the top, and I am enjoying it as well.

Tuesday

I'm going through Andromeda. In one of the later episodes of season one, Michael Shanks shows up as a one time character who is apparently a historian that studied ancient languages. This is about as peculiar as Robert de Niro playing a mafia or CIA man. At any rate, it's always fun when actors visit each other's shows, and here's a prime example: Lexa Doig also was on Stargate SG-1 for a little while. Heh. I love it when the ship argues with itself - in threescore. The hologram, the monitor, and the avatar. Must have been fun for her to act, although I daresay this is one of her weaker episodes. There's a certain Pinocchian lameness here, "I wanna be a real boy..." like some of the bad TNG episodes with Data. But this episode is pretty good. I like it.

A neighbor from above just dropped by with cake. Evidently he is a baker, for he welcomed me with cake: Spanish something or other. It contained raisins but was otherwise pretty good.

It's a me, Mario!

Living room, angle 2.

In the bedroom, there are two windows. One faces a Catholic church.

The bathroom is relatively spacious. And clean.

These doorknobs are on every door but the bathroom.

My big kitchen. To the right, there is a rather large amount of empty space.

My landline telephone.
