Wow! This is harsh!

At this weekend's annual Star Trek convention in Las Vegas, the JJ Abrams-helmed sequel - lauded for its cinematography, strong performances and action scenes -  was voted the worst Star Trek movie of the entire canon by avid Trekkies.

Really?  This makes no sense to me.  Discuss!

Clearly these people don't remember Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Avid Trekkies my derrière.

Runner up. TMP is still the measure of Star Trek awfulness.

Teehee - my UNfaves were [yes, the Motionless Picture is very apt descriptor and one I've used for years] TMP, The Final Frontier, and The Search for Spock, followed by most of the TNG movies [the one with Tom Hardy was the worst].

And I was so sad to see how rapidly Leonard Nimoy had aged before TMP, even. A living lesson in the ravages of cigarettes and excessive alcohol, both of which he has kicked, thank God.

Bwahahaha! Either they've never seen The Motionless Picture or they've blocked it out...
