Charity Post
So as you have probably seen in your flists over the last few days, fandom has proven once again, that when the chips are down and people need help, we will go above and beyond the call of duty to help. The terrible earhtquake in Haiti has devestated thousands, and has caused everyone to dig down deep and give what they can.
Two of the lj communities that are helping (along with many others) are
help_haiti - This works along similar lines as Sweet Charity, which im sure many of you are familiar with. People are offering fic, art, ficlets, fandom stories, original stories. there is also many people offering beta services and constructive crit. So if you feel like some custom art or icons to go with your story, are looking for something special created by your favourite writer, or an honest opinion on your latest piece then head over and make a bid. You may also feel you have something great to offer and can put your own services up for sale.
Misha's Unicef Link/Misha's Minion Stimulus - This is the unicef site that Misha set up, which is currently sitting at over $17,000 for the Haiti Relief Fund Click Here to Donate. This is part of a much larger charity Minion Stimulus which is covering a variety of charity projects. The LJ comm for this is minionstimulus. Go over, join, and help out.
