Mary and John think their sons are dead

Hey!

I’m searching for a specific fic I just can’t find anymore, I started it but never finished reading it , then lost it so I hope someone can help. Here are the things I can remember.

1.  John and Mary hunt 
2. they are under the impression that their sons are dead 
3. on a hunt (I think it was an empusae) John saves Dean without knowing it’s him
4. Dean and Sam are homeless (I think) and Dean is super protective of Sam (of course)
5. Mary and John encounter them again and get suspicious because at least Dean looks like they imagined he would look like at this age 
6. Sam is around 8 (I’m not sure) and Dean 12 
7. there was something about Sam doing homework 

Yeah that’s about it, I’m sorry if that’s not specific enough but if someone has an idea please let me know! Or if you know similar fics. (No winchest please)
