Title: Crossbones

Summary: The day they buried Mary’s parents, she sat John down at her kitchen table and told him that her family hunted monsters.
Reccer's Comments: This story is brutal and horrible and wonderful. It does an amazing job of showing how things might have been, with great supporting appearances by Bobby and Pastor Jim.
Reccer's Caveats: While John and Mary are a married couple in the story and do married couple things, the R rating is for violence and language, not sexual content. It definitely falls on the gen side of the scale.

Reccer's Comments: This is a gorgeous, heartrending fic, with an unforgettable look at Mary Winchester. She became the shivering tremble of a whetting stone across the edge of a blade, the heavy scent of gun oil and long afternoons working on the once-hated Impala

Summary: AU John and Mary live only to hunt evil after losing their sons to the fire. The memory of their boys always burns until they meet a boy that reminds them so much of what they lost they start to remember there is more to life than revenge.
Reccer's Comments: The summary had me feeling a bit skeptical, but this story is already turning out to be awesome. The best AUs are the one with a twist that make you hungry to know more about them. This has that.
