So these have become the highlight of my week. And this week really needed it. Thank you so much for another great installment! Poor Castiel. Honestly, I can relate. Maybe a good deterrent though, the threat of a major headache ever time he uses his powers.....

I realize that you guys have already chosen artists and authors. But I still want to offer up my services as an fill in artist if the need ever arises. (http://the-once-and-future-thing.tumblr.com/) is where you can see samples of my work.

The headache might be in part after-effect of the substance the vampires used on them but any time Cas uses his grace, it drains him and if he uses too much, he's out. Headache might happen as well. And he had to use a lot of grace to fry 3 creatures like the fire vampires on the spot. Actually if he'd been thinking, Cas might've tried to use less of his grace and a less extreme method to stop them somehow...and I kind of like the idea that Castiel panicked. No one messes with his family!

Thank you, so glad you liked the chapter (and that you're interested in doing art!) ♥

So you can fully understand how much I love this series, I didn't realize a new chapter had been posted until midnight but I read it anyway. And now I have to get up in five hours. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT ( ... )

Thank you! ♥ It means a lot to all of us to hear that people are enjoying the chapters. I'm really glad you enjoyed this installment and how things are advancing with Dean/Cas. I joked with my betas that I was playing "how many ways can Dean say 'I love you' without saying it" here.

Loved everything about this but especially how they all care about each other. Dean easily cares about Cas and Sam, and it's totally written in such a believable and lovely way. (Show always makes it seem like Dean can only care about one person at a time and that's such bullcrap) I really like seeing him through Sam and Cas' eyes and how they talked about Dean carrying everything on his shoulders; I think having that from their POV not only showcases Dean but also their feelings and emotions towards him. It's also interesting how Dean/Cas together seems to lighten Sam up. I mean I know he still has issues with hell and everything but it also feels like having them around/being able to troll them just sort of lightens him up.

Dean's heart is ginormous. Not that many get that close but he doesn't only love Sam, and loving others doesn't mean he loves Sam any less. I think canon's been good about showing how important the other characters are and how much the losses hurt Dean, although canon keeps narrowing it back down to just Sam and Dean as if there isn't room on the show for the rest and I don't agree with that--and there's room for plenty of Sam and Dean bonding while other relationships happen. In this chapter, I wanted to have Sam and Dean moments, and also take a look at how Sam and Cas view each other, and advance the Dean/Cas relationship--mostly wanted to look at Team Free Will as a team, and Sam-Dean-Cas as a unit of 3 and how they work together and what they mean to each other ( ... )

I don't have enough time to write a detailed review, so I'll just say that this was yet another excellently written chapter and I love all the unspoken tenderness between Cas and Dean. :)
