As I mentioned the other day, I'm pretty much just going along with whatever the Muse hands me -- whether that falls in line with what I typically write, or not. So here's... this. It's a "What if?" for the end of Season 8, a gift for the Dean-and-Cas fans. (And the Destiel fans, though this is Gen.) If you're a big Sam fan, if you can't imagine him not being a huge part of Dean's life from here on out -- this will probably not appeal to you. In fact, since it's a death!fic, it might freak you right the hell out. But I'll say, "It is what it is." And the Muse is stubborn.
