Summary: John wishes thte rain could wash his body and soul clean.
The boys were tucked in bed. John stepped out for a smoke.
When he was done, he took two steps forward into the driving rain. He felt it pelting him and washing over him. He wanted it to cleanse him, take away all the evil that he’d learned about and shady things he’d had to do since Mary died.
He wanted the rain to free him from the ties that he was creating with the supernatural. He felt that those bonds might be too strong to break later on.
If only the rain could do what John needed it to.
