they look so similar to me idk

He's actually based off another character of mine named Chemin. Noodles and I modded some of our ocs to suit a space setting, so I took Chemin and shrunk him into Chey! They're both bug-eyed and kind of neurotic, but Chey takes it way past 11 on that scale.

I did a lot of mish-mashing of continuity for this version of Harlock to play here, so a few things had to either be cut or altered or made up to make things cohesive for him, while still keeping true to his personality and focus from the canonpoint I brought him from. Here's some things -

• He gave the Earth military a second chance when the government gave him a second chance - that was when the Illumidas aliens invaded and the Earth needed more fightin' menfolk. Prior to, Harlock was marked an outlaw for refusing to cooperate with a human-machine truce/occupation of Earth. I decided he was a military guy back then, too, but was like "yeah no bye."

• He is pretty fail with romantic relationships. There's a woman in the movie named Maya that he's shown as close to in some sense, but it's never clarified what their relationship really is. My take is that it was a long-distance kind of affection that ran both ways, but was pretty accepting that neither of them would've settled down or compromised enough for a "normal" relationship.

What happened with the knitwear?

It was in a later episode of the 1978 series where the evil aliens of the show sent a spy aboard his ship (it was later revealed that Harlock knew she was a spy the whole time because........idk it's his show and he can do what he wants man). She was this hot fair-skinned chick who boarded under pretense of fleeing from the government or w/e. So she gets free reign to wander around the ship because Harlock doesn't afraid of anything.

She derps around and gets slated with the task of trying to get info directly out of Harlock so what does she do? She pretends to have anemia and faints in the shower conveniently around the same time Harlock is walking by. HIM BEING THE GOOD GUY THAT HE IS bursts in and is like GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF WOMAN and she just like. Leaps up and macks on him.

So he picks her naked ass up off the floor and walks her clear across the ship with everybody gawking and drops her off at medical bay and is like "there is something wrong with this broad doctor go fix it" and leaves the bay smirking like a jackass

☠ His sister's fighting abilities are cooking (albeit... poison cooking...), so I think he'd be a pretty decent cook when not worrying too much about the method ("The onions won't cook completely like this---!" stove sets on fire, etc). He's also seen as a chef in the "If they weren't in the mafia..." alternate card set!

☠ He comes from Trentino-Alto Adige, a region in Italy. I think this because there was a pretty high cliff around where his house was, and there was a lot of trees
