Oh, you're a youkai? I had no idea. I suppose it's because most of the youkai in my world have a distinguishing physical characteristic about them that differentiates them from humans.

And many in my world do as well, but are capable of taking a humanoid form.

In fairness, it's something of a survival trait; youkai that don't look monstrous are less likely to be hunted on sight, after all.

That's true; I'm sure those characteristics are what caused the prejudice in my world and ultimately lead to a war between humans and youkai. It's over now and there is peace, but the youkai were driven to the state of Dokuganryuu.

At least they have a nation. In mine, we had to seal off a safe haven from the rest of the world just so we could survive...no, just so magic could survive.

I see. That's unfortunate. Both magic and youkai exist in my world. Although, I believe humans are the primary users of magic.

I suppose you could. Actually, believe it or not, I think in the country of Zeth over on the continent, there's even prejudice amongst humans depending on if they're magic-users or not, though, in this case, it's against non-magic-users. Heh, apparently these topics are cause for conflict in my world.
