[He'd managed to
post the notice.]
[It's a hot evening, and Asch is mentally cursing himself for wearing the cloak and hood. Not to mention the uniform and sword underneath. The ensemble is, in a word, stifling. Even so, Asch wants to remain anonymous for as long as possible

[ It was hot, wasn't it? While Edel is used to the changing months of his own country, wearing clothing that doesn't cover his body is outside of the question. Once Alexander regained the use of his legs, they prompted themselves to head towards the beach to witness this scene- and, perhaps, see what they could do about... hmmn.
... the incident at hand.
Edel grew weary as the days went by. By now, it was not just a simple matter of taking care of a friend. It wore at him, day by day, whether it was the guilt of the murders or the rap Alexander had incurred from them, things wouldn't really be the same by now. It chipped away at Edel's own mentality, the fragile existence of being human was far more difficult for some to maintain over others.
Even now, his steps were slow and soft. He took his time. Quietly, he turned back at the other young man that followed. ]
... We don't have to do this.

well, that, and a human boy lacking the sense to leave him to the hawks and doves waiting.
he was not made for these things. he expects and fears pain. and when he hears and smells the ocean, he stops, face graying despite its etched smile.]

[ Edel stops and turns to Alexander. His regulated movements froze ever so suddenly, something that took the young boy by complete surprise. This was not very much like him, was it? Then again, Edel was learning well that there was far more to Alexander than he could have ever dreamed.
He frowned, but only whispered: ] We can turn back. He hasn't noticed us, I'm sure.

No. I am sick of your room. [because that sounds way better than saying I HATE THE OCEAN I HATE THIS AND I WANT TO LEAVE BUT I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T. and it sounds more like the bravado he's known for, anyway. so Alex goes with that, lifting his head and smirking lamely at Edel before forcing himself to walk.
his eyes stray downward a great deal more, trying to block the sight of churning water.]

He had Elanore and Nirinel to thank for that. ]
[ Edel raised his hand then, a sign to show the hooded figure of their arrival. They did not come bearing weapons-- sort of. Edel always carried a knife with him, simply as a memento from his father and for his alchemical processes- and... well. Alexander himself could be considered a weapon, it seemed. ]
[ He called out to the man now as they came close, Edel turned back to Alexander to make sure he was fine- and still following, naturally, before raising his voice -] We have come by our own means and in order to regain peace here. We do not wish to fight anyone!
[ And finally, he turned to glance at ( ... )

we wish to run, he thinks dryly to himself. or perhaps that is only one of us.]

[The attack brought along lots of questions - even a few answers. It's worth discussion and thinking over. And yet, he never expected these two to actually show up. They've got to know walking up to a group like this is risky.]
[He can't help but wonder whose idea this was.]
Peace, huh?
[Asch's head shifts from Edel, who'd spoken, to Alexander. He remains where he is, although there's a slight edge to his voice.] And just how do you plan to accomplish that?

That is what I have come to find out.

To wait around for others to decide on action was... dangerous, of course. Edel didn't know what to expect, what to do- but he would stand by Alexander. ]
I do not know myself how we'll come into accordance, but perhaps discussion the issues at hand and obtaining responsibility would be... the first step. So I'd assume.

[It seems obvious to Asch at least. His voice and his influence are just one of many here . He hadn't even involved himself directly. All he's trying to do is make sense of what happened, why, and the reaction. The issue of the natives was still nagging at him, too.]
But I can tell you this much: more damage has been done than just the spilling of blood. People are nervous and scared. Some are angry.
[He glances around.]
Talk if that's what you're here to do.

I will talk, then. To these victims. Are all gathered?

Contact the rest on your own time.
[After all, the purpose of this meeting isn't just to discuss what happened, but rather, Asch is using it as a springboard of sorts to prod people to action.]
[Asch gestures with one arm for him to go ahead and speak.]

So here's Jade, and he seems fine in the heat Asch was sweating under. He wouldn't have taken you for an information-giver, Asch. Color him surprised.]
You know, I could always cast a water arte on you. That should cool you off~

[Damn that cocky bastard...]
[Asch's head turns in the colonel's direction, and though Jade may not be able to see it, the noble is glaring at him from beneath the hood.]
[Nevertheless, Jade isn't to be taken lightly; Asch knows that. If anyone's able to piece things together and start developing plans to get out of this place, Asch would expect it to be someone like him. And for that reason alone, Asch won't bother trying to deter him from the meeting. Way easier than explaining the situation himself.]
Save it. I'm not bothered about the temperature.

[Whether or not Jade recognized the glare, he made no move to acknowledge it. He just kept on smiling at the cloaked man.]
Though, why you see the need to cloak yourself from newcomers is a mystery to me~ [Jade shrugged. Asch's ways were Asch's ways and Jade wasn't going to question that right now. If Asch had information that Jade could use to his advantage, then Jade would gladly wait for it.]
