[ AFTER THE MASSACRE ] Video/Action/Everything

[ **NOTE** : For those who are unaware, Alexander has been resting in Edel's room after the massacre he accrued these past few days. Although Edel had suspicions about the scenes played out, he wasn't about to let Alexander just lay dead on the forest floor for the most part.

Edel has made two wishes.The first, to take Alexander somewhere safe.

[Edel receives a lazy smirk in exchange for that sharp, hassled look.]

You should have asked if they preferred their criminals flayed or hanged.

[ And Alexander receives the most aggravated growl Edel could possibly muster. ]

If you would allow me so kindly to say, I would appreciate it if you could at least try to exercise self-preservation, Alexander Darkov!

[mongoosegrin]

I did. [waving a hand.] Earlier. You know...earlier. [he already said that. ha. ha ha...he shakes his head, wiping his brow with his forearm.]

Mmh. But now I am sure it is in everyone's interests to know, yes? I think so.

[apathycary]

[ With the heaviest of sighs. ]

Yes, I know. I know far too well. But please don't- don't do anything stupid. I know this is a difficult and extraneous task for you, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't undo all of my hard work.

[mongoosegrin]

Half, then? [drawing his legs up; the black is only to his ankles now, but so, so annoying. he is antsy.] That would be fair.

[apathycary]

[ HEAVY SIGH. EYE ROLL. THE WORKS. ]

Whatever you can muster, I suppose.

[mongoosegrin]

[picking at scabs.]

Let me muster feet first, then we will see about all this hard work. [a two-second scowl, then a huff.

beat.

he shoots an almost wary glance over.] You intend to stay in here, yes?

[apathycary]

O-Of course I do! [ That. That was certainly an odd question. Edel's face seems slightly flustered, he wasn't about to run away! He was true to his word, Darkov! Of course, he wanted nothing more right now than to smack him with a book, or perhaps drug the man to stop that infernal picking. ]

Don't mess with it. It'll go away, you said!

[mongoosegrin]

[though Alex smiles, his exhale is heavy with frustration. he complies, albeit childishly, by lifting his hand away, making a face of see? i stopped before flopping back on his side, folding his arms.]

Too slow.

[apathycary]

[ Glareeee. ]

Yes, because letting it permanently scar is a much better option, isn't it?

[mongoosegrin]

Then wrap them if you are so worried about it. [and he'll not shred the bandages this time. maybe. possibly.

70/30 chance.]

[apathycary]

Fine then, I will.

Again. [ He stresses, because you KNOW you removed those already, young man.]

... Sit still, will you?

[mongoosegrin]

Mmh.

[there's one last foot wiggle of defiance before lying still.

all of three seconds. his upper half shifts, arms reaching out to a nightstand to snatch his seal between finger and thumb and drag it over, letting it fall on his pillow. he peers down at it, cheek puffing out as he prods the inside of his mouth with his tongue.

soon, a little sing-song, feigned surprise:] Nobody is yelling at you yet.

[apathycary]

[ There is a frown, but Edel ignores him at first. The work required for healing his wounded legs was far more important than whatever lackadaisical comments Alexander was spewing about. ]

Just imagine what sort of trouble you'd get yourself in if I wasn't around.

[ Of course, Edel also wonders how much trouble he'd keep out of himself. ]

Perhaps we should be thankful for this, or maybe they're just on their way here with pitchforks and torches.

[mongoosegrin]

Haa. [laying his head down, going a little cross-eyed as he squints at the seal so close to his nose.] Fire is not fighting...I wonder if that does not count when the city puts up its walls.

[apathycary]

Right, sure, fire isn't for fighting. Everything else is? Fire witches are some of the most dangerous beings, I'm only glad to know them as allies and not enemies.
