[Action]
[It was the fighting that had done it. For a few weeks, after that
strange dream, Luke had actually been able to remember what having a normal night's sleep was like. Tear had helped to heal him, but there was always a certain extent that the body had to heal itself after any kind of major injury. And he'd used a hyperresonance, even though

[He remembers the plants that Pere grew back at the manor on Auldrant being nice, but he didn't remember them actually helping people sleep better... right?]
What do you mean..? Like, certain kinds of plants?

... Others just like the comfort they bring.

So... like herbal medicines...?
[He's guessing, but it feels like a good guess. He remembers they had lots of herbal remedies and things at St. Binah.]

[ He nods, but Edel doesn't care that this is only a voice call. He's too caught up in his thoughts to really notice- ]
If you need something of the sorts, I-I can make it. I just... need the ingredients for it! Of course, I can't give you too much, you understand- don't you? It can be highly addictive if you're not careful.

W-well... uh... someone's making me tea, so... I guess if that doesn't work...
[slight hesitation here - he isn't exactly the most comfortable talking about this, but...]
... would... would it help with nightmares?

It only agitates you further when you have nightmares. [ He sighs softly. ] I've... only recently stopped having them myself. I'm quite used to staying up past four in the morning on nights...

That's not going to work then... [Given that pretty much all of his insomnia was caused by his nightmares... something that made it worse... was a very bad idea.]
D-did you ever find something that worked...? [He's not just talking about herbal remedies here, either.]

It's gotten worse for me, actually. [ There's a light, somewhat unreal laugh from him as he tries to recall these events. ]
At least here, I can forget about most of the causes for those nightmares but... at the same time, running away from it only intensifies the dreams when they come. Those dreams of being dragged out of bed are the worst, it's hard to tell what is reality and what is fiction by that point.
[ He sighs. ] Sleeping in the same bed as someone else seems to ease them. It sort of... reminds you of the actual reality at hand, I should say. N-Not that I do something like that often. Sometimes it's inevitable...

[Luke would never willingly forget the cause of his nightmares - part of why turning into a child had been so significant for him. He'd forgotten so much, all the things that had helped make him who he was, and shaped how he acted and viewed the world...
It sounded like Edel had experienced thing Luke never had to deal with...
That suggestion, though...]
I-I don't need to sleep with anybody! I'm not a little kid.
[Except he is.]
