[ Kid frankly doesn't know how to respond to that. What is this person's problem, anyway? ]

Ah- No. I broke him in two by torturing him, or something along those lines. I don't have the best imagination so I can't tell how much it changed him, but he isn't quite the same.

Then I assume he must've done something to provoke it, and the only way for anyone to learn is to have consequences for what they do.

[Sure, but Claire will totally be using a different voice next time they meet. Just slightly! Never know how people will react to torturers and such, it's just good manners.]

Ah, well. He lied to me constantly, so I figured out he was some sort of manipulative big shot who thought he could do whatever he wanted in my world. What, you don't think I went too far, did I?

[ Kid is unsurprised that Izaya lied, but he is fairly interested in the fact that Claire seemed to have deduced it right away -- Kid himself didn't see it until Crona's prompt brought it to light. ]

I haven't spoken to Izaya yet. We'll have to see how much of an impact you had on him, before I can say whether it was excessive or not.

[ diplomatic, but cautious; he's not terribly heartbroken that Izaya got his ass whooped, but he doesn't like the idea that it might have gotten done by someone who could potentially be more of a threat ]
