Kid had successfully wished for a basketball before leaving Rotterdam, and flipped it back and forth between his hands as he walked towards Gilded Castle. It was nice to have such a familiar object in his hands, one he instinctively associated with his friends and good memories of playing on the weekend. Kid was not particularly a person for organized sports, but those weekly games were his chance to cut loose and just be a normal teenager.

Now he wanted to share that feeling with someone else, someone who had become part of a new circle of friends he'd made.

Spotting Luke standing out front of the entrance, he quickened his steps. "Good morning," he called.

Luke looked up and around upon hearing the greeting. Upon catching sight of Kid, he smiled slightly and raised a hand in greeting. "Morning." No goods. If Luke ever learned what an oxymoron was, he would agree that the phrase 'good morning' was one.

However, he was momentarily distracted by the item that Kid was holding. What was that...? It kind of reminded him of one of the toys he'd been allowed to have as a child - for a very brief amount of time, really, but at the same time, it was different. When Kid drew close enough he finally opted to act on his curiosity and point at the basketball. "What is that...?"

"This," Kid said proudly, "is a basketball. It's used to play a sport by the same name."

Turning towards the castle, Kid firmly pictures in his mind the corresponding piece they'd need, and a basketball hoop and net appears above them, secured to the stone wall.

"There, that's better."

Luke started slightly at the sudden appearance of the new equipment on the side of Gilded Castle. Turning his head from left to right a little before looking back at it, Luke couldn't help but notice how out-of-place it looked compared to the rest of the wall.

Not to mention he had no idea what it was. It was more alien to him than the basketball; at least that had had a familiar shape. Still, Kid is here today to explain this all, right? So for now, Luke decided to wait. At least until he figured out a bit more what was going on, at which point he would try to figure it out more himself.

"So... what is it for?" he asked, taking a step closer to inspect the basketball hoop more closely.
