Good news from McFarland about the Welsh myth book. Soon, soon...
I will be doing the SFRA (Science Fiction Research Association) conference in Carefree, AZ in June. I've not done this conference before, but I have published a media review for their review journal. This time, my paper is on symbols for the frontier in weird narratives from Solomon Kane to Supernatural. Along the way, we will touch on Castle, Toy Story, Robert Heinlein, and Timothy Zahn's Spinneret. And maybe Buffy.
Extended birthday was great fun. Old friends, new friends, Renaissance Faire fun, downtown Riverside exploration, family, wonderful boyfriend (who bought me the collected Whedon X-Men), delicious cupcakes. Yay.
