It's finally spring-like outside, and I have two weeks before finals.
I would be a Good Student and start studying now,* only I still have a damn test in every subject before finals even begin.
My accomplishments for last week include both convincing my Environmental Studies class to drill for oil in ANWR in our debate, and not freaking out when I had to do the closing statement. (Or freaking out, but drawing the line short of actually wetting myself. We won and got cookies and that is what matters.)
I also did almost all my late Japanese homework, finished a story for Fiction Workshop (it is technically about delis exploding, but is secretly about Remus Lupin and the store where I work, and possibly the nature of reality. It is Literary and Enlightening), and...well, I go to math, even though I don't want to.
Feeling rather accomplished. So long as I don't think as far ahead as Thursday, when I have a Japanese test and probably other unsightly things that I don't even know about, I am quite pleased.
*No, I wouldn't.**
**Guess who's been reading Terry Pratchett books at the rate of about one every three days?
I got The History Boys DVD in the mail last week. And honestly my response is something along the lines of "HSTFGL! Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered!! SOLDAT BLASE." but you should tell me if you've seen it anyway.
Oh. And camping was cold. My little brother burned his hand toasting a Peep, and kept me up until 5 in the morning. We had a laptop and Supernatural (for some reason. We had an electric guitar too. I think the idea of camping is lost on some people) and watched Wendigo in the middle of the night in a cabin just to scare ourselves shitless. Only I fell asleep. Anyway, in the morning I woke up and there were two inches of snow on the ground.
I got the top bunk. And I read Thud! in two days. How I never read Discworld before, I have no idea, but now I am reading them at an unhealthy pace. Wee Sam Vimes in Night Watch! I finished Guards, Guards a few days ago. L-space is fact. Now I'm almost done Jingo. I should be doing eight million other things, but that only makes it more fun.
Anyway. It's warm out and I'm showered and happy. I felt really weird this afternoon, so I reread a chapter of Shoebox. Always a good plan.
