After the pain of last weekend, I needed a pick-me-up in a big way. So I got my haircut. It's short with funky layers. The shortest layers are very, very short. It's fun and it makes me feel summer-y. Bring on the nice weather! I'm also becoming more and more "in tune" with my stylist, Matt, which is making visits to the fancy salon more productive and less awkward.
However, since my shoulder pain has gotten worse over the last few days, I realized that I had no more right to whine about it until I went to the doctor. And so I finally did. I have a sprained shoulder muscle. Not a really big deal, just annoying. Unless I want to invest in getting physical therapy, my options are ibuprofen, heating pad ... basically what I was already doing. I did score some muscle relaxers though. I took one a few minutes ago and I still don't feel anything. Maybe soon.
Going to the doctor makes me nervous. It's ridiculous how proud of myself I feel for getting over that to go to a doctor for something that I perceive as "no big deal". But we already know I'm ridiculous.
I've started watching Dexter after the suggestion of several friends/coworkers. It's pretty awesome ... a serial killer who kills serial killers and who is also a cop. Fascinating.
... bring on the muscle relaxation!
