weekend recap
I had a nice weekend. I hope you did too.
Since it's that time of year, I went trail-walking in a state park, checking out all the leaves. I also got to pet a snake in the park's nature center. I can really only describe the feeling of the snake as "scaly".
Anyway, the trails made me wonder: what is the difference between hiking and walking anyway? Did I go walking or hiking this weekend? Or both? I still can't decide.
Finished off Saturday with eating sushi and watching Magnolia ... except, I'm old and have low tolerance for alcohol, so I got too tired/tipsy to finish the last half-hour of the movie. Not sure if I really missed anything though ...
Today, my cat is very happy because I've managed to find all of his missing mouse toys :)
This week is going to be busy. I'm excited for a couple things, though. On Monday, I'm getting trained in CPR/AED (so I can prevent old people from dying at concerts.) Okay, so maybe I'm not so excited about this one, but I'm sure it's a great thing to know, and at least it will get me away from my desk for several hours. Tuesday, I am trying rock climbing at my gym ... exciting!!! I really hope I like it. Ever since I joined the gym, I've been staring at the rock wall, curious yet frightened (typical me). We'll see how it goes ... Wednesday, we are presenting an orchestra from Bavaria. The best I can say is that I hope it turns out to be just a long day at work and not a logistical nightmare. And, at least the road manager speaks English!
