Color me unsurprised.

Huzzah. The bulk of painting in the bathroom and hallway is done (and my project for the rest of the summer will be to paint the stairwell with the handprints, and the rest of the peach walls in the dining room/office). Still need to do the second coat in the hallway, and touch up the baseboards and such in the bathroom. And I made a hash of where wall meets ceiling in the bathroom. Thankfully, that's easily fixable by the application of decorative moulding! Shortcuts are my friend. So are nifty painting gadgets. Man, standing in the paint supplies aisle at Lowe's is as bad as going into an office supply store. So. Many. Shiny. Toys.

Tonight I asked the dwinn, "So what do you think of the color?"

"What, you mean the 'Industrial Prison Gray'?"

"It's not gray! It's 'Dry Riverbed.'"

"'Broken Spirits.'"

"I'm gonna break your spirits..."
