We get hundreds of kids in our neighborhood but are practically the only ones where I work who do so. Everyone was all, "We only had four kids!" For the life of me, I'm not sure what the appeal of our neighborhood is. I mean, there's nothing great about it but we do attract hundreds of costumed (and some not costumed, which I know I shouldn't be annoyed by but am anyway)(and let us not even speak of the parents who HAVE THEIR OWN TRICK OR TREAT BAG) little ones (and some big ones) each year to get goodies.
Another Halloween pet peeve: families where everyone goes out trick or treating and therefore bypasses handing out any candy themselves. This strikes me as selfish and grossly unfair. They're taking but not giving anything back to the others out enjoying the festivities. At our house, I stay home and hand out candy while hubby takes Yermo out. This seems the fair way to do it to us.
