Today's entertainment: ordering styrofoam heads. I loves the interweb.
A belated Happy Birthday to samkicksass and helaaspindakaas, a not-belated Happy Birthday to mcniadh, and an early Happy Birthday to cleverocity.
Holidays were filled with much goodness, materially and familially. Cats have not yet destroyed tree, and we now have a Tivo, thanks to dwinn's brothers. I am now taking bets on how long it will take us to take it out of the box.
I got most of the way through writing a Gemini tag, and then, while contemplating character reactions in said tag, realized it would probably be better if I actually watched Gemini first. But! Was actually excited about writing for the first time in weeks.
Found out two good friends were in a car accident today. They're okay, but I'm still feeling very "meep!" about it. *hugs them*
Received a very bittersweet gift from my aunt. It was a picture my uncle, who died recently (and with whom I had a messy relationship) took of me at around age three, and he apparently kept it in his office all these years. My mother said she'd never even seen it until my aunt passed it on to her for me.
Watching my mother-in-law (who I adore) struggle with cancer is so sad, but her determination to fight it, and her honesty and humor, astound and humble me.
