Dude. Thank god they are few and far between, because I really can't handle fic that deals with infertility. Not because it hits too close to home, but because after five years of dealing with it myself, and three years of treatment, I know far too much about the process to not read these stories and go, "What? WHAT? NO. That's... NO. OMG. ( Read more... )

I've only been to your Art Fair once, when I was in Toledo for the summer. But I got lost while wearing a big sunhat! That ought to count for something, right, giving people a double-bingo? Maybe?

Absolutely! And I did get a big sunhat, and it was an incredibly outstanding (in the, "What does she have on her head?" way) sunhat.

I'm not sure what fandom has the infertility fic in it, but I sort of loath burdening characters with that kind of stuff if it's not canon. If it's not X-files (and okay... I've read a few of those and they're not any better) then I'm not all that interested. I mean, I kind of put it in the category with fics like, Teal'c Goes To The Dentist. Besides, medical fic outside of battle injuries isn't my thing.

And... I've said that and am now eying my epic Dark!SG-1 fic which has copious amounts medical stuff with regards to one particular member. Ack!

Seriously, even incorrect use of carbon dating doesn't froth me quite the same way, and that's saying something.

Oh, dear. Perhaps I should reevaluate my position on researching my fics... *grins* Though, to be honest, my ideas don't normally require information about infertility or carbon dating.

That Art Fair Bingo could quite easily apply to our Saturday Market. Hee. I love it.

mmmmm bad art fair food.

Violin boi, aka Montreal, wants to art fair. He said "You are probably sick of it." And I said, "I'm not sick of it; I don't go. How would I become sick of it?"

To me it is food court and 3 days of getting to work at 7-ish to make sure I get a spot in my garage.

Fortunately I don't haver to worry about getting a spot. I just have to worry about actually being able to get to the structure.
