Calculus

I had a strange dream last night that I was in a setting where Calculus was required. This never happens in real life, but I was alarmed at the prospect. I never understood calculus. I stopped understanding math after College Algerbra. I had no problem with Analytical Gemetry, but Trig required too much faith. I made Bs through Calc I, II, III and DiffEqs and all the engineering that required Calculus, but it was all from my glorified Myna Bird brain with a math vocabulary spitting out the right results. I got the principals of calc, but the rest was surface knowlege with no understanding.

In my dream, I decided I wouldn't need too much time to ramp up my math vocabulary to my college days levels, but I grieved for my continuing lack of skill and hopelessness for sincerity in math. A strange mix of optimism and reserve.
