Love Letter

Dear Katharine McPhee,

Let me begin by saying you looked positively ravishing tonight.  Even more importantly, you sounded beautiful.  You also projected a wonderful humility and kindness along with a sexy allure.  You came across as a true star, someone who is going to go very far.   I would ask you to remember that Taylor Hicks is the flavor of the month who will undoubtedly follow in the footsteps of MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, and other musical bygones.  He's entertaining for now, but he will never grow and develop truly lasting entertainment skills.  You are only 21 years old, you are going to do great.

I would also like to ask you to tell 19 Entertainment to kiss your ass for giving you such a crappy final song to sing.  Even the judges, paid by FOX and 19 Entertainment to pimp your upcoming album, couldn't muster up any enthusiasm for that dismal tune.  I agree with Randy 100% when he said it was the song, not you.  So, you may want to demand some kind of apology or reparations from them.  You should also know that I am telling anyone and everyone that the Soul Patrol can kiss my ass.

This is the country that voted GWB in for a second term, whose approval ratings are now approaching Nixonian levels because he sucks.  So, don't take the voting personally.  Please know that I will always consider you an American Idol and that I am wishing you all the best.  I will buy your albums, even with "My Destiny" as your first single -- it's because I care that much.  McPheever is a condition I will always have and I will continue to thoroughly enjoy the "affliction."

Will you run for president someday, Kat?  Please say yes.

Forever yours,
