I come from X where I did Y and my future will probably be Z

standarized. I realized today as I sat around in starbucks that there's a move of standarization. I dont mean tests. I mean, standarized tests would be a good example but it doesn't even begin to cover it. THE MALL. the mecca of american civilization. the hang out spot for a TEENAGER. eating at CINABUN, MCDONALDS, SATRBUCKS. reading books at BARNES & NOBLE until they closed. these are all Xs, Ys, and Zs. there's nothing really different. just a formula repeated over and over again. there's no pete's coffe shop or dawn's luncheon. people live within their house. sometimes venturing out to preset standarized anit-septic locales for pre-set interactions and generalized products. at home it's little different. tv for the masses. "we love what you love" "because what happens there affects us here." it's not just the loss of uniqueness, it's the criterion on whether or not this is a positive or a negative thing. in a way, the massive amounts of population require massive structures for dealing with them. so it could be seen in a positive way. on the other, uniformity breeds weakness. different people with different backgrounds can find different solutions for different problems. I should probably think about this one more thoroughly before I keep going but any input would be good.

god I hate starbucks.
