Very busy with work, but I haven't posted in a while:
Last week was vexing. Many people came to me with questions about their financial positions, positions which were poor to bad. All of them have a chance to fix it if they take action now. If they don't, they'll be bankrupt in short order. Vexing.
Had a wonderfully relaxing weekend with very few commitments. Actually got outside to work on the yard. Just what the doctor ordered.
Realized I don't like TV very much. Realized that when I'm toast at the end of the day, or while I'm up and down putting Vivian to bed, even TV is better than the frustration of incompetence or interruption. And I have to do something mindless before I lay down or my mind never turns off.
terrier_girl is feeling better every day. She can now operate (minimally) for whole hours at a time. She's also able to eat more often than not. To the point where frequent small meals and crackers actually do help her nausea. Soon, she should have enough energy to actually leave the house. It looks like we may actually have a second trimester this time, instead of 30 weeks of first trimester suffering and "Oh. Baby. Now!" It's a dream at least.
Vivian is cute as a button: singing, dancing, and formulating her own opinions on everything. The awesome renditions of "Ba, Ba, Black Sheep" go a long way toward balancing the ever ready "No." and the new bedtime tantrums. In general, she's a perfectly healthy and normal toddler. We've also upgraded her to the next size clothes. Now I'll have to go looking for the few needful things missing from the new wardrobe.
Dargo mourns and celebrates his life by turns. I need to get him to the park more often.
I've been doing enough work that it's aggravated my wrist, so I'm back in a brace for the time being. One day in the brace did wonders, but I think I'll keep it on for a few more days, probably most of the week. I'll need this wrist in working order later.
I picked up my fiddle for the first time in ages. Terrier thinks I've improved without practice. She may be right. I've got to get another lesson soon so I can start putting the polish on my playing. I can scratch out just about any simple tune now, but I want to know how to make it sound good.
And I'm back on my diet. It's a combination of Terrier being able to eat more, so I'm not constantly inundated with the food she only thought she could eat, and my body's insistence. I feel better on the diet, I feel sluggish and sickly off the diet. We'll see where it goes this time.
And that is that. Everyone is doing pretty much OK. No emergencies or sudden changes. Just a lot of work on all fronts. I can't wait until Terrier is a little better and starts picking up more stuff around the household, but she's gone from a grumpy, sick lump to a pleasant, communicative lump and that's good for now.
