I found this website that said you can stop being scared of something by telling yourself not to be afraid of it and face your fears until you're over it. Sounds good in writing but does it really work?

Like if  you're scared of heights do you go bungee jumping or something?

That is an interesting theory. It's similar to if you tell yourself you can do something or that you are beautiful you will believe it.

But it brings up the question: Is there something you fear that you would like to try overcoming?

ooc: sorry XD; Talking with Cryst while commenting seem to distract me from finishing sentences.

But that doesn't always work, does it? What if you can't or what if you're ugly?

Doesn't everyone have one of those?

ooc:xD No worries <3

Even someone who may not be as esthetically pleasing as the next person will still have something beautiful about them. Perhaps they have large green eyes that sparkle like emeralds? And of course, inside beauty is the most important thing and once you believe that, you'll be comfortable with your outer appearance.

I should hope everyone has a fear. Even Superman has a weakness and he fears coming in contact with it and like most of us, he also fears losing someone close to him. Not entirely the same thing as being afraid of snakes or heights but we all have something we need to overcome eventually. Sometimes, with friends, that obstacle is easier to face.

ooc: Except I still typo'd her name lol

You really think that inner beauty stuff is real? As in, it works? I've always wondered about that? And... you're kinda right, too. Sometimes one person can find someone really good looking but someone else can find them ugly... I think.

I get that part, that if you've got a weakness you need to get past it but... How do friends fit into it?

I have a friend in that sort of situation now. He sees something in someone that no one else sees and they're happy together and neither care what others say. I think that's a good example of the inner beauty seen by others.

Isn't everything better when you have someone else that also believes in you? Someone else that might jump at the noise in the dark with you and then laugh at the silliness when you see it was the heat turning on or a tree branch on the window?

No one should care what other people say! They can just mind their own business! Unless they're right and you're the idiot, I guess.

That'd be pretty awesome, I guess! Especially if the noise turned out to be neither of those things and they're ready to ghost hunt or something!

For the most part, I agree. In some cases, being told the rules and how to behave in certain areas is a good thing. But I don't think people should tell others to change who they are or to like something or someone else.

Ghost hunting would be interesting. My younger sister used to watch all of those shows on the subject and then couldn't sleep at night.

Especially if you're talking about being a butler, right? There's a ton of rules we have to follow! And how can you even change stuff like that?!

I've read somewhere that Ombra dorm's got its own ghosts! And I bet she didn't mind not being able to sleep, being scared is half the fun :D

There are a lot of rules for us to follow but they're not so bad once you get used to them and understand why they're there.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are ghosts with how old all of these buildings are and I'm sure this mountain could have been a look out or village once upon a time.

Forgive me for glimpsing the other comments but is your fear that of cats?

I'm still trying to remember what they are, there's another list for the people we work for too and keeping 'em straight's harder than it looks.

You think so?! Ohhh we should have a ghost hunt! And look up the history of the mountain!

... uh, kinda.

It is a lot to take in when you're placed with someone for the first time and then if you ever have a new lord you have to adjust again. Our profession is one of constant learning mixed in with the stability of a routine. You will find your own tricks to remembering soon enough but I won't mind if you ever need to ask a question ( ... )

Yeah, I'm still getting used to working for Echizen the boss and keeping track of the stuff I'm supposed to be doing. I'll uh, definitely keep it in mind if I need to know something!

I'll do that! All I do is sit around waiting for him to be done with his work anyway! Butlers can access the books right?

I have trouble believing there's any that only want cuddling :| Eiji's the bouncy redhead, right? Can't remember if he's the French one or the loud one. Or are they the same? ... you want me to meet a cat?

You really shouldn't take the books out since they're there for the lords to use but you should be able to skim through it as you wait for Lord Ryoma to finish his studies or work.

Eiji is indeed the bouncy redhead and yes, I do. Going by what you said in the post, there's a theory about confronting the fear and I think Azbee and two people that won't force her on you is a nice start.

Yeah, I don't really want to bring them back with me... and there's gotta be stuff on the internet!

Yanagi suggested a robot cat :| I'm not sure which idea's better.

There likely is. The internet can be a good resource tool but I'd go with a book first and there should be all of the year books since opening stashed away somewhere.

I'm not sure a robocat is a good idea. They can be programmed or malfunction. What is the point in overcoming a fear by cheating or technically not doing so. A real cat is what bothers you and being near each other so you can see each movement and look given is a much better way to go.

ooc: oops -_-

I'll try see if they'll help me find them, they should like the boss a lot with all the time he spends there.

A robot cat on a rampage... Sounds right up this school's alley doesn't it? But your idea sounds pretty cool too!

ooc:xD I hadn't noticed, when I saw my mail I wondered what Sae would have had to say to any one
