I found this website that said you can stop being scared of something by telling yourself not to be afraid of it and face your fears until you're over it. Sounds good in writing but does it really work?

Like if  you're scared of heights do you go bungee jumping or something?

That is an interesting theory. It's similar to if you tell yourself you can do something or that you are beautiful you will believe it.

But it brings up the question: Is there something you fear that you would like to try overcoming?

ooc: sorry XD; Talking with Cryst while commenting seem to distract me from finishing sentences.

But that doesn't always work, does it? What if you can't or what if you're ugly?

Doesn't everyone have one of those?

ooc:xD No worries <3

Even someone who may not be as esthetically pleasing as the next person will still have something beautiful about them. Perhaps they have large green eyes that sparkle like emeralds? And of course, inside beauty is the most important thing and once you believe that, you'll be comfortable with your outer appearance.

I should hope everyone has a fear. Even Superman has a weakness and he fears coming in contact with it and like most of us, he also fears losing someone close to him. Not entirely the same thing as being afraid of snakes or heights but we all have something we need to overcome eventually. Sometimes, with friends, that obstacle is easier to face.

ooc: Except I still typo'd her name lol

You really think that inner beauty stuff is real? As in, it works? I've always wondered about that? And... you're kinda right, too. Sometimes one person can find someone really good looking but someone else can find them ugly... I think.

I get that part, that if you've got a weakness you need to get past it but... How do friends fit into it?

Perhaps you should start with a stuffed animal.
