Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense
My boss brought me like 10 dvds into the office yesterday. *g* I think I know 9/10 already, but they're great movies, so I might watch them again. Almost immediately, I put in "My best friend's wedding" but I only watched one scene - over and over again. It's my favorite scene from the whole movie!!
But for the night then, I had brought two of my own dvds which I had bought in October but haven't watched them until now! Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel (yeah you can laugh but it's funny and Theodore is oh so fucking cuuute!!) and Watchmen! And Watchmen was awesome! Long (2,5 hours!) but great!
The first few minutes were really great! And nice to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan again. Haven't seen anything with him in a long time. ;) But yeah, oops, there he goes right in the beginning, but it was done great!
And also, The Comedian - another kind of superhero, huh? Hitting, shooting and killing people because they piss him off! o.O Wow!
And I really loved Rorschach's voiceover through the whole movie! Like:
"This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and I'll look down and whisper 'No.'"
And damn, Billy Crudup who played Dr. Manhattan has a mesmerizing voice! I could listen to him for hours!
Another great quote came from Adrian aka Ozymandias. "I'm not a comic book villain." - Of course, you are not. LOL
And I loooved Silk Spectre II and Nite Owl!!! They were great and hot! ;)
Awesome movie!!
Oh and also, my boss gave me Mona Lisa Smile and said I could keep it as she has two copies of it!! Who has the coolest boss, huh? *g*
