I gotta repeat saying how much I like my boss. Last night, she came running to bring me the phone (wireless) and said that she had to hurry, as she was watching Sex & The City and there was only a commercial break. I said that I liked the movie as well, and she says that the second one is good, too. I mention that I haven't seen that one yet - and she runs up to her apartment again and gets the dvd for me to watch. haha And she's like, "I have so many dvds, I'll get some and put them in the office for you to watch." *g* I can honestly say, I like my job. hehe
So, yeah, I watched that last night, the second movie, and I loved it! So much fun!!! :D And I had an encounter with the future of technology: I haven't watched a real dvd on a computer in AGES, and first, I was like, oh, but I'd like to watch it in English, but how can I choose languages, there won't be a real menu...? BUT THEN THERE WAS! And I could click on it and choose languages or chapters even with the mouse pad!! How and since when is that possible?! I felt like I've lived the past years on the moon! That was totally new to me! :P I mean, I remember, before, when I wanted to watch something on the computer, I was happy if the movie played at all. But this, wow! *g* Ok, totally embarrassing, as you probably think now, where has she been the past decade or so? But really, cool! haha
Also watched Southland 3.01 last night and wow!!! I loved it! Almost forgot how GREAT this show is!!! It's so true to life, I think. In most (cop) shows, when there's a tragedy, it almost always ends with a happy end. But not on Southland, oh no! They kill people and let children die! I love it! Well, you know what I mean. ;) Really awesome show! Everyone should watch it!
And I started reading my first book in 2011 - Carrie Ryan "The Forest of Hands & Teeth". After three books by Nora Roberts with love and love and... love (which I loved *g*), I thought, now I really need something with bloody murder and torture and death. So I chose this one. But what is this??? *sighs* (Behind a cut for spoilers ;))
There is a love story in there! Ok, I'm not totally surprised and I like the whole "love in desperate (ha!) times" story - but this is almost too much for my little (unloved) heart!
"And then he takes my hand and presses his lips against my palm. It feels like fire entering my bloodstream and laying siege to my body. He kisses my wrist, and I am an inferno. He starts to move up my arm, his breath tantalizing, and I almost give in as he pulls me to him." [page 58]
I'm crying! :( No seriously, I mean - confession time TMI? - I'm lonely, I got no one and then reading something like this... makes me feel even more alone. :'(
BUT that doesn't mean that I don't like the story. ;) Plus, it's very well-written!
And I believe there's already a book #2 coming out?! It's a series! deviltrap will laugh about me. ;) LOL
