THIS SCREAMS FOR CAPSLOCK!
I'm home alone for the first time in a very long time. But of course, my brother called to see how I was doing. In one way, that's very sweet of him, but also annoying. Hell, I'm 25 years old! *rolleyes*
UPS woke me up up at 12:15 and I've been up since. Maybe I should lie down a bit more as I've got a nightshift tonight. I cooked lunch for myself which felt so good because I haven't cooked anything just for me in a looong time. I had chicken with couscous, mushrooms and some olives that I found in the fridge, plus curry sauce. When I told my brother that there's still enough left (Right! 2 cups of couscous are 2 meals - it would be enough for a whole batallion!) he said "Ew!", but I liked it. I haven't had couscous before, but it wasn't bad.
Speaking of not bad... And here comes the reason for my CAPSLOCK subject line - I TOTALLY WON THE LATEST WRITING CHALLENGE AT spnland!!! I MADE FIRST PLACE, PLUS I WON IN THE EXTRA CATEGORY "MOST LIKELY TO MAKE ME SLEEP WITH THE LIGHTS ON" AND "SO CREEPY IT SENT SHIVERS DOWN MY SPINE"!!! \o/
The challenge was to write a creepy story and I sent in two. The winner fic was "Trick 'r Treat" and you can read it HERE if you like at spirit_junction
AND I finally started with my NaNoWriMo novel. I've got 125 words so far. Isn't that just amazing?? LOL But it's a start. And I squealed already over the beginning. I like it. *g*
