First off, I'll talk about commissions. I finished sketching the con book cover for Confuzzled. YAYY! It's being looked over by the Confuzzled committee for approval. Hopefully, they like it. :) Mace's commission is almost done and I'm starting the background for Exkhaniber's commission.
In other news, dad called from the hospital today and he is scheduled to have surgery on Friday. Tomorrow, he will know if he has a MRSA infection or not. Either way, they have to scrape the infection off his tibia (for those who are anatomically challenged, that's the large bone in your lower leg next to the fibula, which is the thinner bone). Ewww. That sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me. Of course, this is under general anesthesia, so it'll be funny seeing dad all groggy from happy sleeping gas. My aunt SueAnn and I plan to go up to the hospital on Friday to see him. It'll be at least Monday before he is released to come back home, but it might be even later than that.
Today, my aunt Tammy let us borrow $200, so SueAnn and I drove all the way into Kokomo, which is about an hour drive, to get the money. We also stopped by my mom's doctors and picked up her scripts to fill some prescriptions. Then, we drove to Frankfort, which is about an hour and a half away, where I picked up her Flexeril and dropped off her other prescriptions. Then, we drove back home, which was about another 45 minute drive. Good lord that's a lot of driving, but it was fun getting to hang out with SueAnn. I love her dearly. I don't feel like I'm hanging out with an aunt. I feel like I'm hanging out with a best-friend.
Tomorrow, I have to go back to Frankfort to get mom's medicine. I also just sent a letter to my company requesting if I can work part-time while dad is in the hospital and I'm taking care of mom and also for a bit when dad firsts get home. I can't work full-time while caring for mom full-time, even though I work from home. It's just impossible. Oh well.
In very good news, I didn't have an IBS flare this month. ^___^ I was very careful around the time of my period to watch what I was eating. I made sure to eat lots of soluble fibers and it really helped a lot. My tummy feels good. :)
Tonight, I'm not going to work on commissions. I am very tired. I am going to go take a hot bath, enjoy some hot apple cider and watch the snow fall, and then go to bed and just crash. Hopefully, the company will approve my request for temporary part-time work, which I'm sure they will, but keep your fingers crossed.
