Finally. Dad went to the ER for the two holes that were blown open in his legs last night due to his osteomyelitis, however, they admitted him under isolation. He might get to come home tomorrow with a PICC line so he can do his IV antibiotics himself, but that all depends on whether or not he has an MRSA infection or not. They did a biopsy today and the results will be in tomorrow. If it is MRSA, then he'll have to stay in isolation and they may do surgery and scrape the infection off his bone. Eww. That sounds like nails on a chalkboard, to me. Still, I'm very glad he is in there and getting the care he needs. :) (did I post about this yesterday?)
Also, while he's in there, he's talking to doctors about his alcoholism and things he can do to help himself, as well as getting him on a pain management regimen so he doesn't drink. I'm happy to hear that. My uncle Danny, his brother, came over the other day and basically tore the shit out of my dad (with words, not physically) about how there is no way in hell he's going to sit around and watch his brother destroy himself, his life, and everyone else's life around him due to alcoholism. Basically, Danny scared the shit out of my dad. LOL Danny is a really intimidating guy. Danny said, "Come on, Pat. Get dressed we're going to the ER about your leg. This is fucking stupid that no doctor will help you. Also, you'd better tell the doctor about your alcoholism and get that shit under control quick, and don't think I won't know if you don't tell the doctor. If you don't tell him, I will, and I don't think you want *me* telling the doctor about it. This shit stops now."
Dad made the @___@;; face and my uncle Danny's clothes suddenly became nine sizes too small for him and he turned green. Danny called me late last night to give me an update whlie they were at the hospital and he said to just call if mom or I need anything. :) My aunt SueAnn, Danny's wife, called over here just a bit ago. I need cigs, so she's running to the store to grab me a few packs. Man, they're such cool people. I love how much they love the entire family. Danny also got the water pump for the Cougar so that can be fixed. Fred, SueAnn's mom's long-time boyfriend, is going to help put the pump in the car since dad isn't doing well with his leg.
So, things are going pretty good. I almost have Confuzzled's sketch done. I'm going to finish that tonight. I have the background done on Mace's commission and I think I found the box with some other finished, or atleast almost finished, sketches for set #2 of my commission queue. Fwee! It's that time of the month though, so that sucks. I always get an IBS flare this time of the month, but oh well. It won't last forever.
I'm going to finish making mom's lunch and run back to work. :) Peace out.
