She was five, and her mother was baking a cake for her birthday the next day. It was a mint chocolate cake, Anna’s favorite and she enjoyed watching her mother putting all the incredients in one big bowl and mixing it. It amazed her that something so good could come out of a bowl full of slimy dough.
“You’re a big girl now, Anna. Do you want to put the icing on top?”
Anna jumped onto a chair and with the helping hands of her mother, she finished the cake.
It was the only thing she remembered from being human.
