The Princess Portal "We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action. -Frank Tibolt" I came across something in a similar vein today:
"Art has no influence upon action. It annihilates the desire to act. It is superbly sterile." -Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

Today was the first day of school, wore my smocked UMBC shirt, there's a picture a few posts back.
Financial aid tells me I owe collections agency fees, 17%! (it's a value that looks like a comic expletive)

So I started VCIII class today and I did a little space bending on a two dimensional surface:
Professor Bradley talked about cubes and the juxtaposition of the natural and the constructed. I've been reading Knitting Nature, so the first thing that comes to my mind is a Koch Snowflake. I made it with squares instead of triangles, I don't think it can work in 3-point perspective.
Aah, my brain, it burnnns!,
Disturbingly it brings to mind
this Wish me luck for tomorrow!
(My witty subject line lies, I didn't really get philosophical, I just can't wait for the new season of It's Always Sunny.)
