Guy jogged through the city streets at a pace that was almost rushed, one hand at his belt - on his sword, just in case - eyes glancing back and forth in search of the young man he considered to be his best friend. He was both relieved and worried that Luke was here; Luke had said a month had passed since the fight with Van, and Auldrant was apparently not falling apart around them, but even so, he disliked having so many of them away from the world in case something else went wrong. Not to mention he didn't like what this could do to the delicate balance he and Asch had managed to create for themselves.

... Yet at the same time, he was indescribably happy to have his best friend back.

He reached the warehouses soon enough, working his way through the numbers until he found his target. And sure enough, leaning against the wall of it was the exact redhead he'd been seeking. His expression brightened instantly. "Luke!"

When Luke heard footsteps, his left hand reached back to grasp the hilt of his sword. His body was tense for a split second before he heard that all too familiar voice. His best friend's voice.

His smaller frame relaxed instantly, a smile coming to his face. It had been too long since he had seen Guy. He was happy, to say the very least. With a renewed bounce in his step he walked forward. "Guy! Man, I missed you!"

Guy slowed to a halt in front of Luke, his posture calm and more settled now that Luke was safely with him again. He grinned, hands moving to rest on his hips, looking his friend up and down. "I could say the same to you! You look like you're doing fine, though. You've been living at the manor again, right?"

Though they'd come from different times - something that still left him baffled - he knew Luke had been constantly worried about his existence as a replica. He wanted to be sure that Duke Fabre had welcomed him home and not cast him aside completely for Asch.

"Y-Yeah. I've been at the manor," Luke answered, averting his eyes and scratching at the back of his head. He negelected to mention how he had be sulking at the manor, constantly followed by whispers and glances from the white knights about him being a replica. Sure, his mother and father had welcomed him back just like always, but still, it never would feel like home to him. Not anymore.

He wasn't their son. Asch was.

Guy was silent for a moment, studying Luke's expression. He could read so much of what Luke wasn't telling him - all was definitely not well at House Fabre, and Luke was, as always, lousy at hiding things or telling lies.

Well, if Luke wanted to keep secrets like that, it was his choice, but Guy wasn't about to let Luke start brooding while he was around to stop it. "Good to hear it," he responded cheerfully, still smiling as if his thoughts had been nothing but pleased. "So I do end up going to Malkuth, huh? That's so strange, hearing what I'll be doing in the future. And after we stopped using the Score, too. Has anything else happened since we found Van?"
