Suddenly, a flash of green caught the Pokemon's eye. Growing things? Here?
He dropped altitude a bit and took in his first look at the Garden. After a moment, he decided that he liked it, but he couldn't figure out how it could be alive. Mewtwo looked up. He reached out his arms to make sure.
No sun. No warmth.
(How are there things growing down there?)

"I wish I knew what was going on here.." she sighed.

Now, Mewtwo was not usually an impulsive creature. But as high up as they were, and as strange as the situation was becoming, it seemed like a good idea to him to try and approach this building with the pointed roof from the top. Something wasn't right about it, he was sure of it.
So the Pokemon decided to move over there for a closer look. And maybe he forgot, or maybe he just thought Adrian would be safer over top of the Garden, but he left Adrian where she was when he started to fly again.
And then the world went white and Mewtwo was sitting outside the Church gates, no where in sight of the Garden, nursing a sore tail with his paw-like hands.
What was that? he thought to himself. Then his overfogged brain remembered something.
The human. Blast it.

"Mewtwo?!" she paniced, swirving around the air, looking.
"Oh God, does this mean I'm going to fall?!" she curled up, sweat dripping down the sides of her face.
"I don't want to die like this! eeeekkk..! where are you?!" all she could do was peer at the land below her. She whimpered.

(Adrian? Can you hear me? Are you still in the air? If you talk and think of me, I should be able to hear you.)

"Whuh..?" she looked around, frantically, but saw no one.
"Mewtwo? I'll.. I'll try.." she concentrated a mental image of Mewtwo, of where her surroundings were, repeating mentally and out loud "I'm here."

(One time will suffice, if you please,) he told her. (I can hear you quite well, and I see that you are still above the garden.)
At least he hadn't dropped her. In his experience, humans were more difficult to repair than Pokemon. But he still had to get her down somehow, he reasoned. After all, he had put her up there. Sometimes concern for his fellow creatures and a conscience were good to have, but sometimes they were so inconvenient...
(I can't get around the building. There is some kind of barrier on it. You are going to have to fly around from where you are.)

"Fly? are you sure I wont fall?"
She examined her arms and legs (as if that mattered) as well as her surrounding, and saw everything was fine (if you could call this place "fine"). "Alright.." she swallowed hard, "L-let's see.. um.."
She lowered her form, and flew slowly but surely away from the garden. Mewtwo's form came into view. She felt relieved to be okay, and soon her feet would be on the ground again.

(Are you alright?) he asked her. (I'm afraid I'm not sure what happened just now.)

"I'm fine.. thank you." She rubbed her eye under her glasses.
What did just happen? "Why did you disappear? One minute you were there, and the next.. did you get lost?"

Adrian was asking about his disappearance. (I'm not sure,) he confessed. (I wanted to get a closer look at that building,) he pointed to the church, (and when I got close, I found myself here again. There must be some sort of barrier or teleportation device surrounding it, because I couldn't get back around again.)
Mewtwo stared at the church. He hadn't like it before, now it just irritated him. And it had hurt his pride. He added, half aloud, half to himself. (Whatever it was dropped me on my tail.)

"I should probably go.. find something.." she saw something like a water-pipe, disconnected, laying in the gutter. It could come in handy for any creeps or monsters running around. Funny how horror-movie advice wasn't seeming too far off right about now.
She turned back to Mewtwo, after staring at the pipe, "Thank you.. for.. letting me fly.." She bowed. It felt awkward.. Thanks for the fly, guy! she couldn't say that, of course, but it made her smile to keep back a giggle.

He followed her eyes to the water pipe. Good idea. She clearly didn't have any means of protecting herself. He levitated it over into his hands and examined it. It was light enough for a human female to carry, but most of it was rusted through. Running his hand along its length, he repaired the rust and made the pipe whole again.
(This should serve your purposes a bit better,) he said, levitating the stronger pipe over to Adrian. (This place isn't safe. You should probably find shelter, a place where you can be safe. We both probably should.)
He nodded at her. (The fly was no trouble. I would be happy to take you flying again one time. Good luck finding your way home.)
With that, he kicked off the ground and took off towards another part of the city, as far away from the church as he could manage.

She took the pipe from the air he was holding it up in - clean, without mud, water, rust. "I will - you be careful.. and thanks again."
She watched him take off. It was a trip to see.
Adrian went the opposite the church, eyeing the tenement-area.
