Simon wasn't entirely sure what to make of his abrupt change in location. He had thought what he was walking into was a cheap hotel for the night - saving the world and ditching one's job didn't pay much, unfortunately - but once he'd stepped through the door, he'd found little else but a dark staircase and an equally dark city at the bottom of it. He'd known about underground cities besides his own village for years, but... nothing so advanced. And certainly nothing that was able to make the exit door disappear as soon as he turned around.
"So much for getting some rest," he mused to himself, shrugging his shoulders and starting forward into the city. Maybe if he found someone to ask, he would get some answers on how to get out of here.
