(no subject)
One year ago tonight, Phillip and I made a decision that changed how the following year would go, dramatically for the better. We decided to try a relationship with each other, even though he was leaving 2 weeks later for boot camp. We knew we were in love, and we couldn't deny that love a chance just because we'd be far away from one another. And it was definitely one of the best decisions we've made. This past year has been amazing, and filled with so many happy memories with him. I haven't had a relationship like this one before at all; all my previous relationships had many more issues and many more arguments and problems. With Phillip, it's like we just understand each other... and we did hit one rough spot awhile back, but nothing too hard to get through, and it didn't have to do with "us" - it was a personal issue he was dealing with, and I had to sit back and let him work through it - and it paid off. Everything with him is wonderful now, and even though we are still far apart, we are close in heart, and I am going to see him soon.
Here are just a few of this past year's memories:
This photo was taken about a week after we made it "official" that we were a couple - this was at the bowling alley, in the evening after going to a wedding for some friends of mine. I love this picture. :D
This photo was taken only seconds after the first time I got to finally hug him after a long 3 months of boot camp! This was taken in January. We were sooooo happy! ^_^
Then, in February, I took a trip to visit him at Camp Pendleton. I stayed with xxmywayhomexx and had an awesome time visiting him, even though it was only for the weekend. ^_^
In April, he came home for a weekend, as somewhat of a surprise - I found out like 2 days before he came home that he was coming, hehe. :D I got my hair cut the day this photo was taken, & he went with me.
Only a week later, I decided to surprise him by going down to get him at Camp Pendleton and taking him to Disneyland! We had sooooo much fun!!! ^__^
The next day, we went to a mall that had this awesome ferris wheel, so we went on our first ferris wheel ride together. :D
In May, he came home for his sister Danielle's wedding! This is the closest I have to a picture of both of us, haha. I'm just off in the background oblivious, lol. But it was a lot of fun. ^_^ (Oh, and in this photo you can see what a height difference there is between us, haha! I was even wearing heels. :P)
These last two photos were taken on July 5th, 2006, the last day we saw each other, when I went to visit him in Virginia. -_- It's been too long! But I will see him soon... in just over a month! ^_^
So... that's all! I'm just hoping he'll be able to call me today sometime so I can tell him "happy anniversary" and "I love you!!!!!"
