There's almost nothing more frightening than being lost in Washington, D.C. at nighttime in the rain. The streets here are so freaking confusing, and not only that, but when I was almost to my hotel, I made ONE wrong turn, and there was absolutely no way to turn back around and go the right way, and I was stuck going all the way to Georgetown. It was quite frustrating and panic-inducing, but I was thankfully able to get ahold of my parents as well as the hotel staff here and get some help, and I finally made it here after being lost for over an hour. Oh, and on top of that, I almost got in a car accident twice today... the first time I was almost missing a turn I needed to take, so I skidded really bad, and almost hit a pole thingie and was scared that the car was damaged (thankfully it's not), and the second time, I saw two sets of lights straight in front of me, two that were red and two that were green, and the green ones appeared to be hovering over the lane I happened to be in, so I went through the intersection, only to be honked at and have someone abruptly stop so they wouldn't hit me... apparently it wasn't green for me.

All in all, today's been a stressful day. I was happy this morning and during the afternoon cos I was with Phillip (we went out to breakfast at IHOP and then went and saw Tokyo Drift, which was good), but of course saying goodbye to him was really hard, and finding my way to D.C. was fairly easy, but finding my way to my hotel was a whole different story. -_- I am exhausted and I'm going to sleep now. My train leaves in the morning at 9:30 to go to Connecticut, so hopefully I can get the car returned and take the metro to the train station in time to catch it.

Thanks to everyone who's been praying for me, and I'll probably update again once I'm at my sister's house!

Goodnight!
