I've had several April Fools day pranks done to me already. I got on the Wii Fit and the Balance board told me Balance... Board... not working... just kidding April Fools. Gmail claimed to have a new function called auto pilot where it will assess your writing style and incoming emails and respond for you. The examples they give are pretty funny. Youtube is showing all their videos upside down. College humor has been taken over by Axe body spray. Newgrounds has been taken over by China.
D&D was crazy last night. Josh and Tj didn't come, but we managed. The first fight was against 5 evil Orc clerics. That fight wasn't too hard, just annoying since the clerics kept healing themselves. Still in rounds we broke down the door to the next room and ran into a really really big Orc Barbarian with an evil ax artifact. The good news was we managed to kill him in two rounds... The bad news is that he was a frenzied berserker and no one told him he was dead yet. Now we were faced with the problem of neutralizing him by some other means than hit point reduction. I tried to grapple him, he had a ring of Freedom of Movement. Stew shot him with an enervate, he had an ioun stone that absorbed spells. We all ran into the other room and Stew put up a wall of force between the two rooms. He dim-doored into our room. Randy tried to disarm him, he was unsuccessful. I grabbed his ioun stones. Randy tried to disarm him again, he was successful. Dan shot him with a disintegrate, it missed. He picked his weapon back up. I disarmed him, I grabbed the ax and failed my will save and said, "Sorry Mr. Orc, this is yours." Stew hit with an enervate. Dan cast flesh to stone on him, he saved. Jake gave stew a pearl of power so he could get back another enervate. Stew hit him with an empowered enervate. Dan cast charm monster on him, he failed. Finally he stood there and collapsed after a few rounds.
Now we have a new problem, what to do with this evil artifact. We knew that you had to make a will save when you picked it up so we figured the wizards should try and transport it. Stew picks it up, fails his save. Stew decides he's going to teleport away, Dan counterspells with his teleport and Randy knocks Stew unconscious with his hammer. Try number two, Dan picks up the ax, he fails his save. Dan makes a bluff check to try and convince us that he is in control of the ax. No one believes him, but me. Luckily Dan used his teleport to counter Stews, so he put up a resilient sphere around him and tries to rememorize teleport. Jake heals Stew, Stew dispels the sphere, Randy rides Erica's flying carpet up and knocks Dan unconscious. Try three, Jake picks up the ax, he fails his save. Jake also tries to bluff the party, he rolls a nat 20 and convinces everyone but Randy. Randy attacks Jake. I think Randy must be possessed or something as this is the second time he has attacked a party member for seemingly no reason. I tackle Randy and attempt to get him away from Jake. Jake tells me it's ok and hands me the ax. I've already failed my save for the day and I become convinced that I need to kill Randy. I attack Randy and he disarms me.
Finally we decide to just push the damn ax with our swords onto Erica's flying carpet and take it back to town.
